The Smart Interactive whiteboard has pedagogical potential that can play a role of facilitator for teaching. This instrument makes it possible to vary the teaching resources used. SIW also makes it possible to represent and visualize fractions in a more concrete and lively way. It also helps to promote interactions between the different actors in the class. The direct manipulation of SIW by the student also seems to be a pedagogical asset.
